This was God’s message to the people of Israel when they were in exile in Babylon. His message to us today is just the same. He always has our best interests at heart; even if we are sometimes doubtful about it.
Teach us to count our days that we may gain a wise heart. Psalm 90:12
Every morning when I write or type the date I realise that it is a day which has never been before and will never come again. I pray that I may use it wisely.
Commit your way unto the Lord, trust also on Him and He shall bring it to pass. Psalm 37:5
We not only have to commit, but to trust as well. If we don’t also trust, He will not bring it to pass.
God comforts us in all our trouble, so that we can comfort those in any trouble, with the comfort we ourselves received from God. 2 Corinthians 1:4
This peace is something we need to pass on. It wasn’t given to us to keep; it is for others. We need to share it. The world is so much in need of peace at the moment.
God can transform a crisis into an opportunity to serve.
I must remember this next time life gets fraught. So pleased I have a Saviour who knows the end from the beginning.
Don’t let the good be the enemy of the best.
May the God of hope fill you with joy and peace as you trust in Him. So that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
There is nothing stingy about this. Look at the word ‘overflow’, that means enough and so much more.We’re not hanging on to our faith by our finger-tips.

We might not always agree with other Christians, but we can always love them. We are brothers and sisters in Christ.
