I don’t think I’m reading this quite right. Being a Christian does not save you ‘from every trouble,’ but we are certainly heard by the Lord and helped.

When life is rushing along and everything seems to be going wrong, it is so good to be able to depend on this promise.

So often we seek others things first and then the kingdom of God. Things don’t turn out quite right and we wonder why.
God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble. Therefore we will not faint. Psalm 46:1-2
It is not a question of ‘if’ trouble comes, but a fact that it will come, in some shape or form. It is then we need God’s refuge and strength.

It is obvious that we should choose life but there are three conditions. We need to love the Lord our God, as well as listening to His voice and then hold fast to Him.

Trusting in the Lord should take the weight of worry away. Life will still be difficult at times, but trusting will lift the burdens.

This doesn’t always apply to me. I obviously need to walk closer to God.
