What a high standard we need to reach. Fortunately we do not need to do it in our own strength. We have a Help who can always guide us.
Sow your seed in the morning and at evening let your hands not be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well. Ecclesiastes 11:6
I found this little gem almost by accident. What a wise thought. We do not know which of our endeavours will succeed, so we need to strive at everything. So good we have a Saviour who does know the future.
From Him and through Him and for Him are all things. To Him be the glory for ever, Amen. Romans 11:36
It’s awesome to realise that everything, just everything is under His control. We might not like some things but He knows best and He controls it all.

We have a God who is full of wisdom and knowledge, yet we, who have so little wisdom and knowledge, try to organise our own lives. Mankind’s reasoning is so strange. What do we know?

Jesus told this to His disciples when He promised them the Holy Spirit. The promise is for us also.

I realised once again that the word ‘sovereign’ contains the word ‘reign’. That certainly applies to our God. He reigns over everything.

We probably can’t say it too often. As Christians we should not be miserable.

This is something we could say as God showers blessings on us. He gives us above what we can ask or think.
